Piano Accompaniment Tutors

Miss Sammi Ho began studying piano from an early age under the guidance of Ms. Fung Chi Mei and Mr. Leung Chun-yin. She has over ten years of full-time teaching experience and has recently completed her Master of Arts in Music at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, majoring in music theory and research. During her studies, she was mentored by the renowned pianist Ms. Nancy Loo, and is currently continuing her professional development with Ms. Sham Siu-wai.

She holds LTCL and ATCL piano performance diplomas from Trinity College London and has achieved Grade 8 Piano and Theory certificates from ABRSM. Ms. Ho has explored a wide range of musical styles and settings, including Chinese music ensemble, choir, hand-chimes, musical glasses, and has also been exposed to diverse musical cultures such as Javanese Gamelan. In 2024, she performed at CUHK’s Moonlit Night Music Concert at the Lee Hysan Concert Hall, where she took part in 16-hands piano, choir, Chinese ensemble, and orchestral collaboration.

With a background in animation and visual arts, she brings creativity and aesthetic depth into her teaching. Her students range from young children to adults, with over 95% achieving Distinction in ABRSM exams, and several receiving awards in public competitions.

Annette Chan is a music graduate of Hong Kong Baptist University, majoring in flute under the tutelage of Mr. Olivier Nowak, the Co-principal flute of Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra. During her secondary schooling, she acquired both piano and flute Grade 8 with distinction. She continued her musical training from her flute teacher Brian Chan Tsz Chun and obtained the LTCL diploma in 2016. Being an ensemble player and flute soloist, Annette has performed in various concerts and local music events including Hong Kong Baptist University Symphony Orchestra and Wind Symphony concerts. She is currently the flute and piccolo player of Hong Kong Chamber Wind Philharmonia and participates in regular concerts.

Having the enthusiasm on music education, Annette has been a music tutor since 2012 and has been studying music pedagogy at Hong Kong Baptist University. She is now teaching flute, piano and music theory as a private tutor, her students have obtained distinction in ABRSM exams. Apart from one-on-one teaching, Annette also coaches group class and being piano accompanist for her students during public examinations and competitions. She is currently teaching as an instrumental class instructor at local schools including HKUGA Primary School, St. Paul Convent Primary School, Buddhist Chung Wah Kornhill Primary School.

Recently relocated to Hong Kong, pianist Grace Wong has served as a Staff Pianist at The Juilliard School and the Manhattan School of Music. She holds a Master of Music in Collaborative Piano from The Juilliard School, where she studied with Jonathan Feldman under scholarships. She previously earned a Master of Music in Piano Performance and a Performer Diploma from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, studying with Emile Naoumoff and Futaba Niekawa. Grace received her Bachelor of Arts in Music from The Chinese University of Hong Kong under the tutelage of Raymond Young Chap-Lai. She also holds Licentiate diplomas from both the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music and Trinity College London.

Recognized for her musical sensitivity, versatility and maturity, Grace has extensive experience across instrumental, vocal, chamber, and operatic repertoire. She has performed and participated in a wide range of concerts, workshops, and opera productions in the United States, the United Kingdom, Austria, Mainland China, and Hong Kong. Her recent engagements include the Music for Food Concert in New York City, as well as productions of Mozart’s Così fan tutte and Puccini’s Madama Butterfly in Hong Kong.

At The Juilliard School, Grace worked closely with distinguished faculty members Catherine Cho, Toby Appel, and Brad Gemeinhardt, serving as a studio pianist for their students in the Pre-College Division.
