Sammi Chung has studied flute with Dr. Lin, Olivier Nowak and Mr. Law. Graduated from the Music Department of Soochow University in Taiwan, majoring in flute. She has participated in many concert performances and master classes, including shuang xi Music, International Flute Art Festival… In 2017, she held a recital at Soochow University in Taiwan. After returning to Hong Kong, she worked in different music institutions and Musikschule Program Hong Kong as an exam planning and teaching work. She also served as a flute instructor for many primary and secondary schools. On the other hand, she is also a flute Instructor of the Wind Section of the Ensemble and Orchestra.
Sammi Chung also has rich experience in organising performances and leading ensemble groups. She has led students to perform in different concert halls, Disney, etc.
Winner of the Concerto Trial at The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA), Alice Hui Ka-ching performed Nielsen’s Flute Concerto with the Academy Symphony Orchestra in 2016. She was chosen as one of the “Young Music Makers 2017” and was awarded the “Adjudicators’ Choice”. In this “Young Music Makers” programme hosted by Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK) Radio 4, she recorded a CD and appeared in a series of radio and television programmes. She was furthermore invited to record for Hong Kong Museum of Art’s “the Sound of Art” series in 2021.
As an orchestral player, Alice has been a freelance flutist and piccoloist of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, Hong Kong Sinfonietta and Musica Viva Hong Kong. She was also invited to play as Principal Flute at the Inheritage Philharmonic in 2020. Alice was Principal Flute of the Hong Kong Pro Arte Orchestra for 5 years and was a touring member of the Asian Youth Orchestra in 2015. As an enthusiastic educator, she is the current flute faculty at HKAPA junior school, Music Children Foundation and Haw Par Music.
Graduated from HKAPA with a Bachelor of Music degree with First Class Honours, majoring in flute under the tutelage of Olivier Nowak, Alice was awarded a 2-year full scholarship by the Hong Kong Jockey Club Music and Dance Fund to pursue her postgraduate study at Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris under the tutelage of Vicens Prats, Principal Flute of l’Orchestre de Paris. Being also awarded full scholarship by the Ecole Normale for 2 years, she completed her Diplôme Supérieur d’Enseignement and Diplôme Supérieur d’Execution, both with all votes and congratulations from the jury and got the First Prizes in 2018 and 2019. Later on, she was admitted to the second year of the Diplôme Supérieur de Concertiste to study with the international soloist, Mihi Kim. She also studied piccolo with Pierre Monty, Principal Piccolo of l’Orchestre des Concerts Lamoureux.
Alice will start working with and receiving training from the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra as a full-time flutist in the coming season of 2021/22.
Wong Tsun Yin Jeffrey began learning the flute with his father, later with Dr. Lam Wing Cheong and Mr. Olivier Nowak. He attained his Bachelor of Music in The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, under the tutelage of Mr. Olivier Nowak. Jeffrey then furthered his studies in France at Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris, with Prof. Catherine Cantin, principal flute of l’Opera de Paris. At the end of his studies at ENMP, Jeffrey attained “Diplôme Superieur” with “très bien”.
Jeffrey actively participates in numerous solo and ensemble performances. In 2018, Jeffrey and fellow flautist Aaron Leung won the concerto competition at HKAPA and performed Cimarosa concerto for two flutes, accompanied by the Academy orchestra. In 2019, Jeffrey and his double quintet group took part in the 2019 Thailand International Wind Symphony Competition (TIWSC) and won the 1st prize in small wind ensemble (open class).
He is now an active performer in solo, chamber and orchestral performances.
Kyle Leung holds a Master in Performance at Royal Northern College of Music and a Bachelor in Music Studies at Hong Kong Baptist University, majoring in flute with piccolo. He has previously studied flute with Laura Jellicoe and piccolo with Janet Richardson in United Kingdom, and Chuang Suet Wah, Ivy in Hong Kong. He has been cooperated with different Hong Kong artist or organisations such as Tai Kwan, RubberBand, Hong Kong Festival Orchestra, HKBU Symphony Orchestra and Galaxy Wind Ensemble etc. In 2015, he was the champion of western music group in the Hong Kong International Music Festival. Also, he has attended master classes coached by Marc Grauwels, Susan Milan, Adam Walker and Jennifer Hutchinson. Except for private teaching in these 7 years, he has been taught and be a conductor in different Hong Kong local schools, like St. Joseph’s Anglo-Chinese School and Baptist Lui Ming Choi Primary School etc.
Aaron Leung is Emerging Artist of well-known Japanese flute maker, Miyazawa. He is currently teaching in Education University of Hong Kong. Aaron Leung constantly appears as soloist with different professional orchestras in Europe. Aaron Leung is knowned for his passionate playing, vibrant tone and innate sense of communication.
Aaron Leung was born in Hong Kong in 1997, he was admitted to Queen’s College as a Musical Talent. He obtained his Bachelor Degree with Dean’s List under the tutelage of Emily Lin and Izaskun Erdocia Uranga at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. He then obtained Master Degree with Highest Distinction at Royal Conservatoire de Mons in Belgium with internationally renowned flutist Marc Grauwels. Furthermore, he perfected his artistry and skills with Sir James Galway, Patrick Gallois, Jurgen Franz, Raffaele Trevisani and Michael Martin Kofler…
As a soloist he performed with orchestras such as Sliven Symphony Orchestra, Waterloo Chamber Orchestra, Mons Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra and the Academy Orchestra of HKAPA. And he played with different leading ensembles such as Mahler Chamber Orchestra, Musique Nouvelles and Virtuosi di Waterloo. He has worked with decorated conductors such as Gustavo Dudamel, Jaap van Zweden and Lio Kuokman. He was invited to play in Festival Musical de Lasne, Festival Castell Peralada, Classissimo, Mendelssohn Festival… In addition to being a flutist, Aaron is a promising conductor who studied with renowned Hong Kong conductor Henry Shek.

Hong Kong-born flautist and conductor Leung Chun Yin Marco is a scholar of the prestigious R C Lee Centenary Scholarship, Hong Kong Jockey Club Scholarship and winners of various international competitions and scholarships. Over the years, he has performed across England, Austria, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Japan and Hong Kong, including Gläserner Saal at Musikverein, Kleine Zaal at Concertgebouw and Victoria and Albert Museum.
As a keen performer, Marco has held principal positions in orchestras across London and Hong Kong. He recently appeared as guest artist with Opera Hong Kong Orchestra and Hong Kong New Music Ensemble. He made his concerto debut with the Hong Kong Children’s Symphony Orchestra at the age of 17 and with Chung Chi Orchestra, CUHK during his studies. Marco is also performing regularly chamber concerts with The Arc and Giocoso Trio.
Being awarded full scholarship for all his degrees, Marco first graduated with first-class honours for Bachelor of Arts in Music at the Chinese University of Hong Kong where he studied with Chuang Suet Wah Ivy. He was then awarded his Master of Music (Distinction) and Artist Diploma in Performance at Royal College of Music in London. He was under the tutelage of Sue Thomas, Katie Bedford, Emer McDonough, Kathleen Stevenson, Stewart McIlwham and Rachel Brown in flute, piccolo and baroque flute. Marco has also received guidance in masterclasses held by principal flautists of top European orchestras, including Matthieu Dufour, Emily Beynon, Adam Walker, Juliette Hurel and many others.
Alongside with performing, Marco is passionate about being an educator in sharing the joy of music playing to the next generation including teaching at various local primary and secondary schools.
Mr Ho is now studying the Master of Art in music at Chinese University of HK. He has received the bachelor degree in Music Education with first class honours. He has studied Flute under Olivier Nowak, Erdocia Izaskun and Dr Lam Wing Cheong. Under the guidance of Mr Olivier Nowak, he received the LRSM diploma and the 3rd prize of The Japan Hong Kong music competition Professional Category in 2014. Ho had many orchestral experiences by participating in the rehearsal and concert of several orchestras that enhanced his ensemble skills, musicianship as well his teaching pedagogy.
For more than 10 years of teaching experience, he has worked from private studio lessons to school small group classes. He also has experience in teaching Nova jFlute classes, therefore I have a certain understanding of the learning situation from kindergarten to junior school students.
Jonathan is a Flautist born and raised in Hong Kong. He has graduated with a first class honor at the Royal College of Music in 2020, studying under Katie Bedford and Sue Thomas, and has previously studied with Gitte Marcusson and Andy Panayi. In 2018, he was unanimously selected as the Sevenoaks Young Musician of the Year, and in 2019 he was the winner of the Springboard Concerto Competition open class as well as the Princess Galyani Vadhana International Competition. He has also performed as the soloist with the Lydian Orchestra in 2018.
Jonathan started playing the flute at the age of 6 under Ms Candace Chan, and under Ms Ivy Chuang since the age of 10. He was admitted into the Program for the Musically Gifted at St Paul’s Co-educational College. Jonathan was the principal flautist at both Kei Wan Primary School (Aldrich Bay) Orchestra under the baton of Mr Fung Kai Man, and at St Paul’s Co-educational College Orchester under Ms Carmen Koon. He has competed and performed both as a soloist and with orchestras in the UK, France, Austria, Singapore, Malaysia, Macau, Japan, Taiwan, Beijing, Guangzhou and Hong Kong. Jonathan received numerous flute solo awards at the Hong Kong Schools Music Festivals, and was granted the Parson’s Music Scholarship for Wind, Brass and Percussion in 2015. Jonathan was awarded Second Prize at the open-class competition at the 9th Singapore Flute Festival 2018, and was a finalist in the 3rd International Berliner Music Competition, the Westbourne Concerto Competition and a semifinalist in the Sir Karl Jenkins Music Trust as well as the Bromsgrove International Music Competition 2019.
Jonathan has performed in various masterclasses globally for Julien Beaudiment, Loic Schneider, Robert Manasse and Adam Walker. He has performed for fund-raising for Education Development Program and at leprosy villages in China. He was the founder and conductor of St Paul’s Co-educational College Flute Choir, and served as a flute coach at the Music Children Foundation Orchestra.
Winnie Ng graduated from the Hong Kong Baptist University with a degree in music (honours) majoring in composition and flute/piccolo performance. She has extensive orchestral and chamber performance experience. Since an early age, she has developed a passion for music. She taught herself the violin and piano during her primary education and formally commenced her flute studies at Rosaryhill School. She took lessons with Ms. Linda Stuckey, the flute and piccolo player at the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra and passed the ABRSM Grade 8 exam in flute with a distinction. Over the recent years, she attained the highest-level FTCL and LTCL (with distinction) recital diploma qualifications of Trinity College London. Her composition entry in the “New Generation” competition was performed by a professional percussion band Jenga Percussion Ensemble and broadcast live on RTHK Radio 4. Winnie is a regular performer. She performed at the “Behind the music” charity concert in March this year conducted by Mr. Tsang-hei Chiu who is a famous pop songs producer in HK and the Millennium Youth Orchestra (MYO), organised by Lifeline Express. This month, she performed with the MYO and the Hong Kong Children’s Musical Theatre (CMT) at the “Winter Melon Tale” (大冬瓜唱遊香港) musical. After her performance at the Hong Kong Maritime Museum last month with the 《Blow and Bows Quartet》as the leading flutist, music arranger and music director, she had performances with the quartet at the museum in July and Sept 2016.
Ginny Tin is an experienced teacher and musician. Ms Ginny is expected to be graduated from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance (London, UK) in 2020, she has also completed her Bachelor of Arts in Music degree in the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Ms Ginny frequently works with local orchestras and ensembles. She is also active in performing and competing as a soloist.
