Kent is a talented musician with a passion for performance and education. He is awarded Master of Performance from the Royal Northern College of Music, where he studied under the guidance of Prof. Benedict Holland. Kent began learning the violin at the age of six under the tutelage of Han Zhong Cai, composer of "Silk Road, Flower Rain" and FuTeng, pedagogue from the Yip’s music education center. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Music from the Hong Kong Baptist University, with a high distinction in violin, chamber music, and orchestra performance, under the tutelage of Andrea Zanchetta and Gary Ngan.
Kent has won numerous awards and accolades for his musical abilities, including the Concerto Opens Final Champion at the 2018 China International Music & Arts Festival. He has also had the privilege of performing in masterclasses by world-renowned musicians such as violinist Ning Feng, and members of the Logos Quartet. He also had the face to face experience to attend masterclasses by Augustin Handelich, Lin Cho Liang, and Shlomo Mintz.
As a freelance musician, Kent is active in various musical contexts and has worked with esteemed artists and orchestras. He has played side by side with members of leading orchestras in Europe and Asia, including the BBC Philharmonic, Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra, Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, and Hong Kong Global Symphony Orchestra. He had also played for the Royal nobles and family members at the RNCM 50th birthday Concert as a member of RNCM Symphony Orchestra, and performed in the "想你張國榮" online concert as a member of Baptist University Symphony Orchestra, which was broadcasted on TVB and YouTube.
In addition to his performing career, Kent is a passionate and experienced music educator. He has taught private students and in various music schools and institutions, including Maestro Arts School of music, Mary of Providence Primary School, Christian Alliance SW Chan Memorial College, G.T. College, Qin Music, St'margaret co-ed English Secondary and Primary School, Rex Music, Perfect Arts, and Music Happiano. He has helped many students achieve success in their music exams, with students passing ABRSM with merit and another winning the Hong Kong Music Festival.

How to Book a Lesson
|Lesson Booking Procedure:
|Submit student information; The tutor will respond according to the information.Messages between student/tutor will be screenshotted or forwarded through M5 Music.＊
|Discuss and arrange the lesson time, location, tuition fee, etc.
|The lesson will be confirmed after completing the payment of the Tuition of the First Lesson.
|Take the lesson according to the booking time.
|The second lesson and beyond are arranged by the student/tutor themselves.

Protecting tutors’ personal privacy is our job; Tutors need to avoid unnecessary leakage of privacy.
|Before student/parent makes payment:
|Some tutors do NOT accept direct contact.
|Some tutors will call student/parent with a “Hidden Number”.＊
|Some tutors accept to contact student/parent through various ways.＊
|After contacting the tutor, if the student/parent intends to take a lesson, the tuition of the first lesson has to be paid to M5 Music before having lesson.
Tuition of the First Lesson
The tuition of the first lesson is charged by M5 Music (accept Bank Transfer or FPS); Students do NOT need to pay additional fee for the first lesson.
Tuition of the Second Lesson and Beyond
Starting from the second lesson, please pay tuition directly to the tutor. Generally, four lessons will be calculated as one session. Please check with your tutor about the payment method for the second lesson and beyond.
No Free Trail Lesson
M5 Music and all tutors do NOT offer free trial lessons. All “trial lessons” are considered as the “first lesson”.
Student's Absence Notice
Student’s absent must be proposed 24 hours before the lesson time. Otherwise, it will be regarded as “Impromptu Absence”. Providing a make-up lesson or not will be decided by the tutor him/herself. Hereby declare, M5 Music will NOT provide refund for “Impromptu Absence” even if the tutor does not want to provide a make-up lesson.
Typhoons and Rainstorms Arrangement
If the first lesson is affected by typhoon and rainstorm warning, M5 Music can assist both parties to reschedule the lesson.
We only provide a refund if the tutor is absent on the original booking time, and cannot provide a make-up lesson for the next 14 days. Apart from this, we do not accept any refund request.
